YLAF is undergoing the process to become a Charity. We are currently a not-for-profit organisation. We want to be a regular fixture. We’d like to know we’re coming back year after year to bring you the best of lesbian art and entertainment. Thousands of you contact us to let us know you love the festival. Everyone involved in producing the festival does it because we love it too. Ticket sales account for only half the money necessary to stage the York Lesbian Arts Festival, which relies on many other sources of funding.

In 2006 for the first time we introduced a Patrons Scheme. Patrons receive complimentary tickets to most festival events as well as invitations to any special receptions. They will be kept up to date with the festival as plans unfold. And they will have the pleasure of knowing that their generosity is contributing to the success of the UK's only lesbian arts festival. Meet lesbians and have fun!
YLAF runs so smoothly thanks to the dedication of our fun loving, sweet
talking volunteer teams. At the Festival itself we use volunteer
support in our Access, Security, Meet & Greet, Front of House,
Hospitality, Transport, Evaluation and Production teams. All year round
we can use help with flyer distribution and other 'street team' work,
administration, fundraising, production and design. If you'd like to
