The Festival
YLAF organisers have taken the difficult decision to postpone this
year's festival as adequate funds have not yet been secured to ensure
the festival can go ahead in October 2009. Fundraising in the current
climate is proving difficult but we are dedicated to ensuring the long
term future of the Festival and all that it means to the LGBT
community.
We plan to stage a festival in 2010 and we are running on a completely
voluntary basis in order to keep costs to almost nil, and to ensure
that we can get the organisation onto a sound financial footing going
forward.
The continued support of YLAF's Best Friends, Friends and supporters
will be essential going forward and we will keep in regular contact
with Friends and Best Friends to update them about progress, news and
developments.
We will keep everyone posted about dates and news on this website and
through the media, meanwhile thank you for all your support and kind
words about the Festival.
YLAF MANAGEMENT
"YLAF has been a permanent fixture on my calendar for nearly ten
years. It's the best place to meet sane, sorted, intelligent,
thoughtful - and lesbian - women en masse."
Manda
Scott
"YLAF just gets better and better every year and this year is going to
be brilliant! Whatever you do, don't miss it!"
Jenny
Roberts
“Wild horses couldn’t stop me attending YLAF every
year. Not least because much of the event is far wilder than the wild
horses themselves.”
